A few tricks I have learned as I have played with these mods together:

1. The Rite of Transposition has no cost when being used to transport yourself, use this to travel long distances. Just carry a Waystone bound to your home, and a circle talisman containing the 7x7 otherwhere circle as a quick way home, this can also be used to set up forward bases for bees, or getting between eachothers homes.
2. Waystones can be made fairly easily where ever you are, just look in Witches' Brews under other rituals. You can preform a one time ritual to create 8 Bound Waystones. It also has some rituals for finding villages/nether fortresses, or preforming one time transpose ritual.
3. Hooking up a request pipe to an ender chest linked to an ender pouch in your inventory for global network access.
4. You don't have many options to improve your player, and most of them are in Witchery.
5. Soul Shards: The Old Ways has some very good tools in it.
6. SpawnerCraft can be used to power level Soul Shards. I will leave it to you to find out how.
7. RailCraft can be used for automation, transport, power generation, and fluid storage. Also the Rock Crusher and Steam Oven are the end game ore processing. Don't forget about it.
8. Coal Coke lasts much longer than coal, and normal coal is used for very few things. Therefore it is safe to convert the majority of your coal, producing creosote oil in the process.
9. The Coke Oven might be slow, but does not require fuel. So if you build enough of them you can cheaply convert logs to charcoal, just have a way to get rid of the creosote oil.
10. Water Wheels are cheap, but demand a lot of space. If you have the room craft a few to provide the power needed to operate your more passive machines such as farms, or machines that need very little power, but need it constantly.
11. Kinetic Energy Buffers can be used to store power, letting you use wind and water power more effectively for operating crafting machines and processing.
